Early Bird Conference Registration is Now Open!
Awareness to Action
Have you ever felt that you wished you had more knowledge or awareness of someone's lived experience or culture and identity? Join us as we explore the complex and multifaceted ways in which our various identities shape us, intersect, and influence one another. This conference will be a safe space for meaningful conversation, connection, and growth as we work to better understand ourselves and each other.
Over the course of three days, we will hear from a diverse group of speakers, participate in interactive workshops, and engage in thoughtful discussions on topics such as race, culture, gender, sexuality, ability, and more. This is an opportunity for Alaskan professionals to network and learn together with mental health practitioners from across the country!
Our goal is to raise awareness and move to action as change agents who are culturally informed, trauma informed, anti-racist, anti-oppressive and more sensitive to all of our clients' identities.
Spend the mornings learning and the afternoons exploring everything that makes Juneau, Alaska (Dzánti K'ihéeni) incredibly scenic and utterly unforgettable. Juneau is on the ancestral land of the Tlingit people, Áak’w Kwáan and T’aaḵu Kwáan. Soaring mountains, coastal vistas, epic glaciers and Alaskan wildlife await you. Take a walk in the world's largest temperate rainforest; kayak on the Inside Passage, book a flight seeing tour of the mighty Mendenhall Glacier; discover the history and rich culture of Southeast Alaska's indigenous peoples; indulge in fresh seafood; or try your luck at gold panning. Adventure is calling you!
Relax and breathe in the sea air on board a deluxe catamaran as we cruise together through the Alaskan wilderness. You'll have the opportunity to view and learn about humpback whales, orca, sea lions, porpoise, seals, eagles, and more! Transportation will be provided from the hotel to Auke Bay and back once the tour has concluded. Expect to spend about 3 hours at sea. This opportunity can be added on at the time of your registration.
Your conference registration includes access to our welcome reception held the night before sessions begin, May 14th. Be greeted by your conference staff, pick up your conference packet, visit with others in the mental health field, enjoy delicious appetizers and a no host bar. Location and timing details will be added soon.
As there are no roads leading into or out of Juneau, you'll need to fly or ferry to get here. We have set up two hotel blocks in downtown Juneau, within walking distance of the conference center, great restaurants, shopping, museums, and more.
Our conference will take place in Centennial Hall, located in the heart of downtown Juneau. The center is fully accessible and features state-of-the-art facilities to ensure a comfortable and productive experience for all attendees.
Do you want an opportunity to dive a bit deeper and have a better understanding into things that are important to you and the people/clients who you work with? Two, 2-hour, sessions will be offered as additional Mastermind Sessions, focusing on specific topics. These additional sessions can be added on at the time of your registration.
We are in the process of applying for continuing education credits for most of our sessions. Please stay tuned for updates and to sign up to get credit for attending the conference.
The early bird gets the sweet deal. Register prior to November 30th to save on registration cost. Looking for more savings? Sign up your whole team to take advantage of our group discount.
